On Saturday, January 18, Passport to Kindergarten students, along with their families, came to the Dayton Art Institute to view their artwork as part of the Passport to Kindergarten Art Show. Passport to Kindergarten is a PNC-funded program that partners with families, communities and schools to ensure children are ready for Kindergarten and beyond. The program focuses on the development of spoken language through talking about and retelling stories, skills that will help children become a successful reader and student.
Dayton Art Institute Museum Educators create the artwork in the participating classrooms and display at the museum. The children were ecstatic to share their masterpieces with the families.
Special thanks to PNC Foundation for sponsoring Passport to Kindergarten through their Grow Up Great Initiative, which helps prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life.
