Little Community Reads

The Ready to Read team hosted its first Little Read Literacy Night on October 10. Hope Zone families were invited to Fairview Elementary for literacy activities based on the October Book-Of-The-Month, led by Preschool and Kindergarten teachers from FairviewWestPark Academy and On Purpose Academy and Mentoring Center.  All families with young children residing in the Hope Zone are invited to attend the Literacy Nights. We look forward to our next Little Read scheduled for November 14th.10 additional Little Free Libraries have been added throughout the Hope Zone. We place additional copies of our Book-Of-The-Month and all donated books into these boxes. A Centerville 4th grade Girl Scout troop's “Make the World a Better Place” service project allowed over 100 books to be donated to Preschool Promise! If you would like to donate books to our Little Free Libraries, please contact Hertia Mims.
