Our 16th Annual Readiness Summit, taking place on March 7, is broadening our focus to discuss the intersection of health and education, and to reflect on the need for comprehensive support for children in the first five years of life. We will address the need for more customer-service friendly ways of connecting families with programs and consider the impact of the community environment on outcomes for children. We will be unveiling a new community initiative called “Be Ready by 5.”
The goal of the annual Readiness Summit is to equip, inspire and motivate leaders to work together differently to improve young children's success in school and life. We focus on the critical educational milestones that predict later success — Kindergarten readiness and 3rd-grade reading proficiency.
As always, the summit is free and open to the public, with registration required. Check-in and breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and the event concludes at noon, following breakout sessions.
