Transforming Preschool for Black boys

Data show that, compared to their peers, Black boys are at the bottom of nearly every academic and social-emotional achievement measure. These boys do not lack ability or talent. Implicit bias, low expectations, discriminatory policies and practices, and lack of Black teachers and role models in the classroom combine to limit Black boys’ opportunities to succeed.
